Police rush to Kamala Harris’ $8M Malibu mansion over report of mystery woman on property

Police were called to Kamala Harris’ after a mystery woman showed up at the property twice and “illegally entered,” according to authorities and the former vice president’s team.

Officers from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene after receiving a call about the unidentified woman outside home of Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff around 10:30 p.m. Friday, the sheriff’s department said.

The woman had gotten dropped off by an Uber and contacted security at the pricey pad, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department said.

After being told she couldn’t stay, the woman left but returned again, leading to a call to police about a possible trespasser.

Police took a report at the scene, but the woman was not arrested or cited. The incident was .

It’s unclear why the woman was there. Police said the woman never entered the home and voluntarily left when asked by deputies.

A Harris spokesperson said that neither the former vice president nor her husband were home at the time.

“Last night, security personnel stopped an individual who illegally entered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff’s property before the individual reached the home,” spokesperson Eduardo Negrón said, according to reports.

“Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly.”

Lt. Jason Duron of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station told the California Post that the department would step up patrols in the area.

“We’re gonna keep an eye on the location. I’m directing my deputies to keep an eye on it,” Lt. Duron said.

Harris, unlike most top former American executive branch officials, does not have Secret Service protection. President Donald Trump revoked that protection in August of last year.

Most former vice presidents get six months of protection after leaving office. Former President Joe Biden extended Harris’ protection by a year after her six-month protection period ended.
