FRANCE SHUTS ITS SKIES TO ISRAEL: BLOCKS PLANES CARRYING U.S. WEAPONS AND TRUMP EXPLODES
France blocked planes loaded with American military supplies headed for Israel from flying over its territory. It’s the first time Paris has made this decision since the war on Iran began on February 28. The refusal happened over the weekend and was confirmed by a Western diplomat and two sources familiar with the matter.
Trump fired back immediately on Truth Social: “France wouldn’t let planes headed to Israel, loaded up with military supplies, fly over French territory. France has been VERY UNHELPFUL with respect to the ‘Butcher of Iran,’ who has been successfully eliminated! The U.S.A. will REMEMBER!!!”
France isn’t alone. Spain closed its entire airspace to U.S. planes involved in the war. Its Defense Minister was blunt: “Neither the bases are authorized, nor the use of Spanish airspace for any actions related to the war in Iran.” Italy also blocked U.S. bombers from landing at its Sigonella base in Sicily.
President Macron had stated from the start of the conflict that the U.S.-Israeli strikes were conducted “outside international law” and could not be approved by France.
Trump also lashed out at the UK for not getting involved: “You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself. The USA won’t be there to help you anymore.
